This is our second trip to California and Route 1 this year. We had to make some adjustments to the start of the trip as Death Valley was closed due to storm damage to the roads. Instead we stayed at Mojave and visited the ghost town of Calico, the space base – home of Virgin Galactic and a commercial airline Boneyard and Red Rock Rock Canyon. Then onto the National Parks of Sequoia and Yosemite, San Francisco before turning to LA via Route 1 and the Big Sur. A great trip with friends who have all travelled with me before on different trips. Thanks to Elaine, Mick, Tracey, John and Sue for accompanying me on the tour.
