New England 2024
New England: A Photographer’s Dream in Fall Our fall trip to New England this year was a visual feast and a true haven for photographers. From the kaleidoscope of colors to the charming coastal views, every corner we turned revealed a new photo opportunity. Discovering Historic Salem We started our journey in Salem, Massachusetts, a town steeped in history. Beyond its famous witch trials, Salem offered us rich maritime and cultural heritage. We wandered through historic houses, museums, and cemeteries, capturing the essence of Salem’s storied past through our lenses. The Charm of Rockport Next, we headed to Rockport, Massachusetts. This seaside town is an artist’s paradise with its picturesque harbor, rocky shores, and vibrant buildings. Motif Number 1, the iconic red fishing shack, became a favorite subject as we explored art galleries, shops, and cozy cafes lining the quaint streets. Scenic Routes: Kancamagus Highway and Highway 100 Our drive along the Kancamagus Highway in New Hampshire was nothing short of breathtaking. The 34.5-mile stretch showcased the White Mountains’ beauty with panoramic vistas, sparkling rivers, and cascading waterfalls. Each turn of the road brought a new perspective on fall’s splendor. Highway 100 in Vermont offered equally stunning views of the Green Mountains, rolling hills, and charming villages. Covered bridges, waterfalls, and vibrant wildlife were captured in our photos as we meandered through quaint towns like Stowe and Waitsfield, immersing ourselves in local culture and cuisine. Cape Cod’s Coastal Beauty Cape Cod in the fall was a serene escape. We enjoyed the sandy beaches, lighthouses, and quiet harbors without the summer crowds. The mild weather made for perfect photo sessions along the peninsula’s scenic spots. Exploring Boston’s Historical Treasures Our journey concluded in Boston, the largest and oldest city in New England. The city’s rich history and culture were evident in its architecture, monuments, and museums. We followed the Freedom Trail, photographing landmarks such as the Old State House, Old North Church, and Bunker Hill Monument. A visit to Quincy Market and a cruise around the bay added the finishing touches to our unforgettable trip. New England in the fall is a photographer’s paradise, and this trip has left us with a trove of vivid memories and images that we’ll cherish forever.
