New England 2015

Just back from the 1st trip to New England in the Fall. Superb weather and colours especially in Vermont and some great coastal locations. Thanks to Ron, Chris, Andrew, Tracy, Jenny and Jess and Luke for making the trip so memorable. A whole load of pictures to process which will be posted on Flickr in time. Off to Venice on Sunday so the processing is backing up!

Fantastic Four hit the Lake District

Great Weather and great company on the Lake District course. Thanks to Mike, James and living legend Ian for their input during the course. Sadly Mike was unable to come along on this trip but I hope to see him on a later course. We stayed at the New Dungeon Ghyll hotel which was a superb hotel in a beautiful location. Highly recommended.

Wet, Wet, Wet in Dorset (Not the Pop Group!)

Just returned from an enjoyable course in challenging conditions. As you can see from the many waterproofs in the photo it was a very wet course with rain every day. That didn’t dampen our spirits though and we managed to get in the few brief spells to get some great shots.

A big thank you to Pamela, Charlie, Michelle, Joy and Mike for not letting the rain get them down.

Belle Tout Lighthouse

IMG_4559_60_61_tonemappedIMG_4482_3_4_tonemappedJust come back from a few days break at the wonderful Belle Tout Lighthouse near Beachy Head. A superb location with stunning views along the windswept coastline. This was one of the few lighthouses in the Uk you can stay in and spend time in the Light Room. This was Helen’s Birthday treat and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite the wind and rain at times.IMG_4479_80_81_tonemappedWe were amazed to find out that there is a full time chaplaincy team patrolling the area 24/7 as there are so many suicides along this stretch of coastline. These people save loads of lives year so good on them.

Silverstone Practice 2015

Another hot day at Silverstone for Practice -Luckily we have access to the grandstands so some shade from the heat. 2 sessions with the Mercedes team looking strong as usual – a good show from Ferrari and Max Verstappen. Sad to say Gp2 sounds better than F1 now.

Todays participants were David, Trevor, Justin, Dan, Natalie and Neil.
